Remember the next communal clear up event on the morning of Saturday 1st August. Timing 10.00 to 12.00 for Kirklee allotments and 11.00 to 12.00 for Julian allotments. This is the final clear up before the Kirklee Open Day on 22 August so it’s quite important.
Now would also be a good time to start thinking about what can be contributed for the Open Day. For any new plot holders: we like to sell surplus allotment produce to boost up the allotment budget. For example vegetables, fruit, flowers and surplus seedling plants. Home made jams and chutneys to sell. Cakes, muffins etc. to sell to eat with tea/coffee or to take home. We also hold a tombola, usually very popular, and are keen to have prizes for this event.
