Book Group meets about once a month, usually on the Kirklee site. We’ve had some cosy winter evenings in the shed when it has been either raining or too dark outside – we meet from 5 – 6 pm throughtout the year.
The next book group meeting is on Wednesday 1st April. It will be a Derek Jarman ‘Pick and Mix’. We’re sharing a number of books, by him and about him, some more weighty than others! Jarman’s is a name that comes up every time anyone talks about gardens, some love him and his garden, other’s don’t. To kick off our discussion, Simon and Wendy from the Kirklee site are going to take about 5 minutes each to talk about Jarman’s film and art work, then we’ll have a discussion in our usual way.
